Community guidelines

Nothing that celebrates driving badly. No racing on public roads, no speed runs, no top-speed clips, no takeovers, no meets organised around either. Not in a recap, not in a photo, not in a comment, not in a club name.

This isn’t squeamishness. It’s the reason the app counts drives and days out instead of speeds, and the reason there is no leaderboard to climb. A place where the fastest lad wins is a place that gets someone killed, and it would be a worse place to spend a Sunday.

• Talk to people the way you would in a lay-by with them stood in front of you.
• No harassment, threats, or piling on. No abuse based on who someone is — race, religion, sex, sexuality, disability, or anything else.
• Snobbery about cars is the oldest bore in the hobby. A tidy hatchback someone saved for is worth as much here as anything with a badge on it.
• Criticise a build if you’re asked to. Don’t turn up in someone’s comments uninvited to tell them their car is wrong.

• Don’t post where someone lives or works, or a photo that gives it away, even jokingly.
• Don’t re-share another member’s recap, route or position outside the club it was shared with. They chose that club; they didn’t choose your feed.
• Don’t use live positions to find someone who isn’t expecting you. It exists so a club can regroup at a junction, and that’s all.
• Ask before you post a recognisable photo of someone else. Number plates are usually fine; faces and front doors deserve a moment’s thought.

• Your photos, or ones you have permission to use. Credit photographers.
• Nothing unlawful: no stolen vehicles, no cloned plates, no illegal parts, no content that breaks UK law.
• No advertising or spam. If you run a business that genuinely serves drivers, talk to us rather than posting into every club.
• Don’t scrape the app, automate accounts, or try to break it.

Organisers set the tone more than we ever will. Say what your club is for, be clear about the sort of driving you expect on a run, and deal with someone spoiling it early rather than hoping they’ll drift away. You can remove a member from your club; we’d rather you did that than had a bad afternoon.

Usually a quiet word — most of this is a misjudged post rather than a bad person. Past that: content removed, then a suspension, then an account closed. For anything involving danger to other road users, threats or someone’s safety, we skip straight to the end, and we’ll pass on what we hold to the police when we’re asked to properly.

If you think we’ve got it wrong, reply and say so. We’d rather be corrected than be consistent.
